University students make sanitary pads from banana fibre
Two students from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUT) in Ghana are making sanitary pads from banana fibre.

Saathi, an award-winning startup based in India, says that banana fibre sanitary pads are not only soft to the touch but also more absorbent than cotton.
